Oriental Garden
Design & Build

What is an oriental garden?

An oriental garden, often inspired by traditional eastern design principles, is a harmonious blend of earths elements carefully arranged to evoke peace, beauty, and contemplation.

Our majestic gardens are a balanced, serene space, where every feature feels intentional yet effortlessly organic. It’s a place that invites you to slow down, to notice the curve of a branch or the shadow cast by a stone. Within Creative Earth designs, every element has room to breathe, reflecting a philosophy where less is more, and nature is both the artist and the muse.

Below are just a few of the key components used by Creative Earth in our garden designs:

Plants

Specimen plantings are chosen for symbolic meaning and seasonal beauty. Common plants include dogwood and cherry blossoms for fleeting beauty, maples for vibrant seasonal color, bamboo for resilience, and evergreens for longevity. Bonsai trees and stylized container gardens are also featured, showcasing nature in miniature.

Water

A central feature of oriental gardens, water symbolizes life and renewal. It can appear as ponds, streams, sculptural features, or waterfalls, often populated with koi fish. The sound of flowing water adds a soothing auditory dimension and feeling of tranquility.

Rocks & Stones

These represent permanence and stability. In oriental gardens, rocks are meticulously placed to mimic natural landscapes, such as mountains or islands. Zen rock gardens use raked gravel and strategically positioned stones to inspire contemplation.
